Alexander C. McGregor

Alexander C. McGregor is the president and chief executive officer of the McGregor Company, a fertilizer and farm supply firm with 42 outlets in Washington, Idaho and Oregon. He has been a businessman, an educator, a writer, and has served on boards at Whitman College and Washington State University—currently as a member of WSU’s College of Agriculture, Human, and Natural Resources national board of advisers. He has been extremely active in the Washington Association of Wheat Growers and headed the organization as president. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington. His dissertation published in1982, “Counting Sheep,” chronicled four Scottish immigrants as they struggled to establish a ranching empire.
