Description
From the time he was a youngster, Andrew L. Hofmeister “never had any other thought than art for a career.” Odyssey outlines Hofmeister’s remarkable lifelong evolution as an artist—from the early Western sketches done during his youth in Montana to the exceptional abstract paintings that characterize his recent work. Odyssey contains fifty-three black/white and color illustrations dating from the 1920s to 1990. Thirty-two of these are full-page color plates of recent works (1985-1990) exhibited at the Museum of Art, Washington State University.
